Voice Cast and Teaser Revealed for ‘Harley Quinn’ Animated Series – The Show Debuts on DC Universe Next Year

At the DC Universe panel at New York Comic Con recently, The first trailer for DC Universe’s Harley Quinn animated series made it’s debut.

Right off the bat,  you will notice the similarities between this version of Harley Quinn and Deadpool (the Merc With a Mouth is actually mentioned, poking fun at the now-dead animated series he was supposed to star in on FX), the teaser also “goes there” as it is obvious it’s not afraid to poke fun at Warner Bros.’ live-action DC movies, and takes jabs at fanboys for their often negative attitudes toward comic book properties and adaptations.  So yeah, the fourth wall gets broken here quite frequently, for such a short trailer.  This looks like it will be a fun series and we look forward to getting a better look at it at World’s Finest Geeks.

Check out the teaser here:

Kaley Cuoco, the actor who will voice Harley Quinn on the streaming service’s upcoming animated series, came out to reveal the rest of the series’ voice cast.

The cast she read off is pretty spectacular as it includes the likes of Lake Bell (In a World…Wet Hot American Summer series, Children’s Hospital), Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), JB Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Wanda Sykes (Black-ish), Ron Funches (Powerless), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Jim Rash (Mike Tyson Mysteries), Diedrich Bader (Veep), Natalie Morales (Bojack Horseman), Tony Hale (Arrested DevelopmentVeep) and Chris Meloni (Happy!, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit). Bader will re turn to voice Batman, reprising the role from Batman: The Brave and The Bold.

The 26-episode first season of Harley Quinn arrives next year on the DC Universe Streaming App.  The series is written and executive produced by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey for Warner Bros. Animation.
