Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for Alexandre Aja‘s upcoming chiller Crawl, a film that finds Kaya Scodelario trapped within a house that gets flooded during a destructive Category 5 hurricane. As if that isn’t bad enough, that house is beginning to fill with not only water, but also deadly alligators. Aja is no stranger to these horror waters, having directed the films Piranha 3D, The Hills Have Eyes and High Tension, all well-received by fans of the horror genre.
The first footage of Crawl debuted at CinemaCon by Paramount and the buzz for the movie began flying in from there, with those that saw the footage making comparisons to such films as Bait, Open Water, The Shallows, Deep Blue Sea, Into the Deep and even James Cameron’s seminal classic, Aliens.
