Production began over two weeks ago on the five-episode “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover that entails The CW’s DC Comics TV shows. Last week, Warner Bros. Television released our very first high quality first look at Brandon Routh donning his full costume as an older Superman in the event-series.
The below image may not necessarily be Routh’s Superman Returns version of the character, but iut certainly looks like the version he played in that 2006 film. We have already learned that both Tyler Hoechlin and Tom Welling will also guest star, and the caption with Routh’s pic could indicate that he’s actually just visiting one of the other versions of Clark.
“It’s an opportunity for me to kind of say hello and goodbye to the character in a way I didn’t get to the first time,” Routh previously told EW at San Diego Comic-Con. “Being a young individual of 24, 25, I thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to do this for years and make multiple movies.’ And that of course didn’t happen. I’m just very honored to be able to do this one last time.”
