What you fantastize about could kill you.
On Friday, Blumhouse dropped a crazy good teaser poster (see below) for Fantasy Island, which they’re taking us back to on February 14, 2020. Now today, they have dropped a trailer for the film, that puts on display a bold new vision of the 1978-1984 television series, re-envisioning it as a murder-mystery horror movie.
It looks like fantasies become nightmares in Blumhouse’s version of the mysterious island and it would seem as though the island forces its visitors to live out twisted versions of their deepest, darkest desires.
The synopsis for Fantasy Isla:
“The Enigmatic Mr. Roarke (played by Michael Peña) makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.”
The cast includes Lucy Hale, Michael Rooker, Charlotte McKinney, Parisa Fitz-Henley and Austin Stowell.
The film is being directed by Truth or Dare’s Jeff Wadlow and the script was written by Wadlow and his co-writers on Truth or Dare, Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.
